Let me get started today by talking about how AMAZING my clients are! This year has been amazing for me and my work, such a learning experience (in all aspects of my life and business), and I’ve got some fantastic people standing with me the whole way!
This biggest learning experience of 2010 in regards to my work is the importance of properly backing up images. I’m human, and I admit, there are times where I would wait till I had 2 or 3 sessions ready to back them up to my external hard drive. Well, in October of this past year that bad habit came back to bite me in the you-know-what. I never expected my laptop to cause me panic attacks, and I was proven wrong. To make a long story short, I had about 7 clients photos on my hard drive needing to be recovered, and a hefty price tag for a job well done. I pray that none of you ever have to do business with a data recovery company, but should you have to, ADR Data Recovery did an amazing job for me. Having learned my lesson the hard (and very expensive) way, I’m passing along my experience to you!
Words can’t even begin to describe how thankful I am for the people in my life. I have some extremely gifted photographers who’ve taken me in and helped me learn from their mistakes, as well as many returning clients who’ve taken chances with their wedding dresses, allowed me to mush their babies like play-dough into baskets and such, and trusted me with their most intimate moments in their life. I am blessed in 2011 to have the honor of traveling across the country to places I’ve never explored for people who want me to be there to capture the changes in their lives. Nothing feels better than that! I am truly the luckiest girl in the world, and can’t express the gratitude and appreciation in my heart.
Thank you all, so, SO much, from the bottom of my heart for making 2010 a great year.
